Cindy Eisenbeis, MSW, LCSW
Cindy Eisenbeis owns and operates Main Street Counseling, LLC. In private practice,
she specializes in the assessment and treatment of individuals who have experienced
a traumatic event. Cindy is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked in
the field of child abuse/neglect and domestic violence for the past twelve years;
working at times with both victims and perpetrators.
While working with the Children’s Division, she was part of a nationally recognized
program that was examining the co-occurrence of domestic violence and child maltreatment.
She has extensive training in the area of sexual assault/sexual abuse and has provided
training in both the public and private sector regarding the detection and prevention
of sexual abuse. Cindy was instrumental in the development and implementation of
a Critical Incident Stress Management process for the State of Missouri Children’s
Division and continues to participate in CISM debriefings for individuals who have
experienced a traumatic event.
Cindy received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from Maryville
University and her graduate degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
She is a board member for the St Louis Council of Child Abuse and Neglect and is
a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the International Critical
Incident Stress Foundation, the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress
, the St. Louis Critical Incident Stress Management Team and NOVA-MO.
